Hlavním záměrem studie je popis uplatnění dramatické výchovy v preprimárním vzdělávání na základě náhledu na různá pojetí těchto rozmanitých možností, a to především podle toho, jak se objevují nabízené příležitosti v kurikulu některých mateřských škol. Proto jsou zde uvedena teoretická východiska s vymezením základních pojmů oboru v důležitých souvislostech dramatických činností s dramatem a divadlem. Následně je představena použitá metodologie i zvolené postupy obsahové analýzy zacílené na mapování výskytu dramatické výchovy ve školních vzdělávacích programech zúčastněných mateřských škol v provedeném průzkumu. Ve všech analyzovaných dokumentech se objevily nějaké dramatické činnosti, především v úrovni výskytu zařazených pojmů nebo se stručným popisem jejich uplatnění a ve všech byly u řady plánovaných aktivit i potencionální příležitosti pro zařazení dalších možností z dramatické výchovy, například některých jejich principů a postupů, prvků, metod a technik nebo dílčích činností. Podle zjištěných výsledků z obsahové analýzy může mít dramatická výchova ve školních vzdělávacích programech a tím i v samotné edukaci řadu různých funkcí i vzhledem k naplňování současných požadavků a specifik preprimárního vzdělávání.

The main aim of the study is to describe the use of drama education in pre-primary education; it provides an overview of different conceptions of possible applications and shows how these conceptions are represented in the curriculum of some nursery schools. First, the study introduces theoretical background, which defines basic concepts of the field in the context of important connections between dramatic activities and drama and theatre. The study then delineates the methodology of mixed design and the selected content analysis procedures aimed at mapping the occurrence of drama education in the school educational programmes of nursery schools which participated in the survey. The results show that all the analysed documents included some dramatic activities, especially in terms of the occurrence of relevant concepts or a brief description of their application. Furthermore, a number of planned activities in the documents showed potential for the inclusion of other elements from drama education, for example some of its principles and procedures, methods and techniques or sub-activities. One of the conclusions is that drama education can have a number of different functions in school educational programmes and thus in education itself. Moreover, it plays an important role in fulfilling the current requirements and specifics of pre-primary education.
