Koncem roku 2017 uplynulo již osm let od konání konference UNESCO o vzdělávání a učení dospělých v Belému. Autor jako účastník konference v příspěvku podává přehled o realizaci jejích závěrů s využitím monitorovacích zpráv o stavu a problémech edukace dospělých GRALE (Global Report on Adult Learning and Education,2009), GRALE 2 (2013) a GRALE 3 (2016), regionálních zpráv (The status of adult learning and education in Europe and North America, 2017) a dalších dokumentů UNESCO (Recommendation on adult learning and education, 2015). Současně jsou analyzovány i dokumenty Evropské unie (Adult education policy and the European Union, 2014), vždy ve vazbě na národní politiky a edukační praxi. Jsou představena také vybraná data o stavu a vývoji vzdělávání dospělých v České republice.

At the end of 2017, eight years have passed since the UNESCO Conference on Adult Education and Learning in Belém. The author as a participant of conference in the paper gives an overview of the implementation of its conclusions using the GRALE (Global Report on Adult Learning and Education, 2009),GRALE 2 (2013) and GRALE 3 (2016), regional reports (The status of adult learning and education in Europe and North America, 2017) and other documents of UNESCO (Recommendations on adult learning and education, 2015). At the same time, the European Union documents (Adult Education Policy and the European Union, 2014) are analyzed, always in connection with national policies and educational practice. Selected data on state and development of adult learning and education in the Czech Republic are also presented.
