Kolektivní monografie, na níž se podílelo patnáct autorů ze tří zemí, si klade za cíl pojmenovat nezastupitelné vlastnosti a schopnosti malby. Teoretické výstupy byly koncipovány k projasnění složitého terénu malířské praxe na uměleckých vysokých školách, ke kladení otázek po opodstatnění malby dnes, k mapování cest i možných přesahů a diverzifikací malby jako média i jako antropologické konstanty.

The collective monograph written by fifteen authors from three countries , aims to name the irreplaceable qualities and abilities of media painting. The theoretical outcomes were designed to clarify the complex terrain of painting practice at art colleges, to ask questions for the justification of painting today, to map the paths and possible overlaps and to diversify painting as a medium as well as anthropological constants.
