Powyższy tekst prezentuje nazwy profesji, które funkcjonowały na terenie Księstwa Cieszyńskiego w XVIII i XIX wieku. Przedmiotem analizy były nazwiska utworzone od nazw zawodów znajdujące się w dokumentach urzędowych, leksyka rzemieślnicza w tekstach drukowanych i rękopiśmiennych ze Śląska Cieszyńskiego oraz nazwy rzemiosł w tekstach poetyckich Adama Sikory. Analizy wykazały, że nazwy rzemiosł i profesji były pod wpływem języków ludności migrującej i języków urzędowych - głównie niemieckiego i czeskiego. Najczęściej jednak nazwy zawodów mają źródło polskie i często zachowują elementy dawnej polszczyzny.

The paper presents the names of professions that were used in the Duchy of Cieszyn during 18th and 19th centuries. The object of the analysis were names formed from the names of professions found in official documents and technical lexis from Cieszyn Silesia in printed and written forms and the names of crafts in Adam Sikora's poetic texts. The research showed that the names of crafts and professions were influenced by the languages of the migrant population and official languages - mainly German and Czech. The most frequent are the names of the professions with polish source and often include elements of the old polish language.
