Práce vyhodnocuje populačně ekologická data shromážděná v průběhu řešení grantového projektu v Hrubém Jeseníku a Krkonoších.

The comprehensive bryological survey in the mountain ranges of the High Sudetes (the Krkonoše Mts, Hrubý Jeseník) is recently carried out. A high numbers of phytogeographically remarkable and/or variously threatened elements of bryoflora have been reported historically from the area. The occurrence of many of them has however not been confirmed with confidence in the recent time or ever. At the selected macro-localities, bryophyte presence with the environmental factors (humus, shading, moisture, substrate type, inclination, etc.) is recorded. In the case of the remarkable taxa (the taxa considered to be rare or threatened) the following data are investigated as well: population area, stem density, sporophyte density, optimal substrate area. If feasible, phytocenological relevés are recorded, too. The data set of thirteen species recorded in the first year of study is presented as an example of the final data analysis.
