Annotation in english language:	The text deals with interpretations of Czech as the national language and of its structural and non-structural units, in terms of both the theoretical approach from the linguistic point of view and the way the topic is processed in textbooks. The author presents partial proposals for enrichment of the teaching activities aimed at deepening the pupils? knowledge of the current Czech language situation, including the regional focus.
