Key words in English:
K. S. Stanislavsky, Beauty, Othello, theatre, acting
Annotation in original language:
Annotation in english language:
K. S. Stanislavsky tried to unify the role of actors and spectators with respect to the Beauty. Russian religious philosophers and symbolist poets also tried to bring back the platonic idea of Beauty at the beginning of the 20th Century. After the Bolshevik revolution in 1917, materialistic philosophy became more important. We can see these two periods play out within Othello, which was directed twice by Stanislavsky. We can compare Stanislavsky´s psychological realism of the first period where social realism was introduced in a new vision of art. In the second inscenation of Othello. Stanislavsky focused on the method of physical action which was favored by the new political system in Russian.
