Studie předkládá výsledky výzkumu regionální historie získané na katedře historie FF Ostravské univerzity. Předmětem je multinacionální region severní Moray a Slezska, směřovaný na minority ve 2. polovině 320. století včetně výzkumu romské komunity- jeho možnosti a limity. Autorka se tedy zároveň zabývá významem regionální historie pro hlubší poznání a přesnější znalosti obecné historie.

Study presents the results of research into regional history conducted at the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, University of Ostrava. The main focus is on the multinational region of North Moravia and Silesia and on issues related to minorities at major turning-points in 20th-century history - including issues related to the Roma community, the possibilities and limitations this research. The author also points out the importance of regional history in ganining a deeper an more accurate knowledge of general history.
