Ve svém příspěvku se budu věnovat otázce, zda může být současná filosofie mysli relevantním oborem pro aktuální výzkumy o mysli řešené v kognitivních vědách. Ačkoli se dnes poměrně hodně hovoří o filosofii mysli jako o oboru, který spadá pod kognitivní vědy, velmi často tento názor slýcháme pouze od filosofů a jen výjimečně od ostatních vědců z relevantních oborů, které se zabývají kognitivní vědou. Můj referát se proto bude zabývat tím, jestli zde existuje nějaká oblast bádání, která by mohla být vyhrazena pro filosofy, a zda může být jejich příspěvek ke kognitivním vědám hodnotný a rovnocenný ostatním disciplínám tohoto mezioborového bádání.

In my contribution I will deal with a question whether some kind of contemporary philosophy could be a relevant field for the current research about mind, which is done in cognitive science. Even though there is now much discussion about philosophy of mind as a field that falls under the cognitive science, this view is heard very often only from the side of philosophers but exceptionally from the scientists who are engaged in the relevant disciplines of cognitive science. Therefore my paper will deal with a problem whether there is some area of research that could be appropriated for philosophers and whether their contribution to cognitive science could be a valuable and equal for other disciplines of this interdisciplinary research.
