Annotation in original language:
This article analyses the marginal groups in the modernization process. It is focused on the situation of Romas/Gypsies in Austrian Silesia before First World War. It shows, that the changes happened in diferent ways. It tries to explain that Gypsies did not disappear from Austrian Silesia roads, but were there less frequently, gradually becoming more an attraction for children than a significant social group.
