Předkládaná studie se věnuje problematice výstavby městské kolejové dopravy v typologicky odlišných moravských a slezských městech (Brno, Ostrava, Olomouc, Opava) v letech 1890-1914. Sledována je vnitřní struktura jednotlivých dopravních společností a jejich vztah k societě na přelomu dvou století.

The paper deals with the issue of building urban rail transport in typologically diverse Moravian and Silesian cities (Brno, Olomouc, OStrava, Opava) in the years 1890-1914. It presents the internal structure of individual transport companies and the relationship to the society at the turn of two centuries.
