The phenomenon of territorial appropriation by young people was treated especially in the works of the anthropologist Lepoutre (1997), sociologists Sauvadet (2006) and Kokoreff (2008) and also in the linguistic studies of Calvet (1993) and Trimaille (2003). The main aim of this article is to analyse the presence of this phenomenon in the nicknames used by Internet and mobile phone users.
