Cílem je diskutovat profesní specifika učitelství v kontextu kritických analýz a v komparaci s dimenzemi Korthagenova modelu učitelovy profesionality (2004). Jednotlivé dimenze tzv. cibulového modelu jsou konfrontovány s vybranými aspekty pojetí učitelství jako omezené, částečné či nemožné profese. Autorka se pokouší formulovat argumenty, jež tato kritická stanoviska zpochybňují a současně poukázat na jádrové znaky učitelství jako pomáhající profese.

The aim of this chapter is to discuss the specifics of teacher profession in the context of critical analysis and comparison with the dimensions of Korthagen´s Onion model of teacher professionalism (2004). Each dimension of Onion model is compared with selected aspects of the concept of teaching as a limited, partial or impossible profession. The author attempts to formulate arguments which this critical opinions challenge and at the same time highlight the core features of teaching as a helping profession.
