The paper deals with information about trends in power engineering in the Czech Republic and Europe Union. It is focused on the Raw Material Policy of the Czech Republic, renewable sources of energy support in Europe Union and the State Energy Concept of the Czech Republic. The second part deals with an energetic literacy - at first in general and afterwards in education at primary and secondary schools in the Czech Republic.
