Cílem kapitoly je zamyšlení nad směřováním světové kultury. Její vývoj je nahlížen prizmatem působení dvou antinomických principů: religiozity a ireligiozity.

The article presents thoughts on the destiny of culture perceived through their historical development and disputes over the cardinal phenomena of the present day - the civilization (with its irreligiousness, "the gospel of insatiability", "the man of the crowd") and culture (=refugium for spirit, memory and wisdom of ages). The author postulates the return of society to the ethics of the Holy Scripture, especially the New Testament. Without it the culture ends up in the chancery of technocratic, technogenous and dehumanised civilisation.
