Autor opisuje historię badań bohemistycznych w Polsce. Zaczyna od najstarszych ośrodków akademickich języka, literatury i kultury czeskiej na Uniwersytecie w Warszawie, Krakowie i Wrocławiu, które zostały ustanowione w XIX wieku. W pierwszej połowie XX wieku powołano nowe ośrodki bohemistyczne w Uniwersytecie w Poznaniu i Lwowie. W drugiej połowie XX wieku pojawiły się nowe centra filologii czeskiej na Uniwersytecie w Katowicach i Opolu oraz w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Zawodowej w Raciborzu i Akademii Techniczno-Humanistycznej w Bielsku-Białej, które istnieją do dziś. Okresowo język i literatura czeską wykładano również na Uniwersytecie w Toruniu, Szczecinie i Lublinie oraz w Państwowej Wyższej Szkole Zawodowe w Nysie, gdzie było można studiować filologię czeską lub uczęszczać na kurs języka czeskiego.

The author describes the history of bohemistics research in Poland. It starts from the oldest academic centers of Czech language, literature and culture in the University of Warsaw, Krakow and Wroclaw, which were established in the nineteenth century. In the first half of the twentieth century established bohemistics centers in the University of Poznan and Lviv. In the second half of the twentieth century have new-created centers of Czech philology in the University of Katowice and Opole, and in the State Higher Vocational School Raciborz and University of Technology and Humanities of Bielsko-Biala, which exists to this day. Periodically Czech language and literature also have teaches in the University of Toruń, Szczecin and Lublin, State Higher Vocational School Nysa, where was can study of Czech philology or foreign language course of Czech language.
