Annotation in original language:	The teaching profession is among the most demanding professions. The objective demands placed upon teachers are often perceived by them - and by the general public - as relatively high. Job satisfaction among teachers is a result of the subjective evaluation of these demands in the light of personal values and expectations. It appears that teachers? job satisfaction is higher than may be expected in view of the subjective level of occupational stress.
