Príspevok pojednáva o výsledkoch výskumu venovaného sociálnej inteligencii (SI) z aspektu vývinu. Boli porovnávané štyri skupiny respondentov rozdelené podľa vývinových období. Vzorku tvorilo celkove 467 osôb (256 žien, 211 mužov). Sociálna inteligencia bola zisťovaná dotazníkom TSIS, ktorý popri celkovej úrovni SI umožňuje merať jej tri komponenty. Výsledky umožňujú hovoriť o jej zvyšovaní v priebehu vývinu, nie však priamočiarom. Poukazujú aj na lepšie výsledky žien oproti mužom. Zistenia sú diskutované s ohľadom na poznatky o psychickom vývine.

Paper deals with results of research devoting to social intelligence (SI) from aspect of development. Four groups of respondents, dividing according to developmental periods, were compared. 467 subjects comprised the sample (256 females, 211 males). Social intelligence was measured by questionnaire TSIS. This scale measures the global level of SI and also its three components. The increasing of SI in course of development was yielded, but not linear. The results also show higher level of social intelligence in women in contrast to men. The findings are discussed with regard to knowledge about psychological development.
