Článek se týká dvou základních problémů: pozice spisovného jazyka v systému variant národního jazyka a situace spisovného jazyka v edukaci. Oba tyto problémy jsou rozebírány z pozice rodilého mluvčího a z pozice cizince, učícího se cizímu jazyku. Předmětem zájmu je relace mezi normou jazyka a formou textu (psanou a mluvenou), mezi normou jazyka a sférou komunikace. Podrobněji si autorka všímá obecné češtiny - hlavního kandidáta na českou antinormu, a na dvou příkladech demonstruje, že její obecný (celospolečenský) charakter je zatím fikcí.

The present article concerns two basic issues: the position of a literary language within the system of varieties of a national language and the situation of a literary language in the context of education. Both the problems have been analysed from the position of native speakers and foreigners studying a foreign language. The object of our interest is the relationship between the language norm and the form of a text (spoken or written), between a language norm and the sphere of communication. The author pays closer attention to Common Czech, the main candidate for Czech anti-norm, and demonstrates on two examples that its general (affecting the whole society) character is a mere fiction, at least at the present.
