Firstly, this paper describes REA business ontology and its possibilities for business process modeling. Subsequently, the paper focuses on the transformation of the specific REA enterprise model into the relational database scheme. However, REA ontology rather lags behind in practical examples. Furthermore, the paper discusses some other specific problems during the model transformation.
