Tato kapitola přináší výsledky výzkumného šetření týmu autorů knihy o kompetencích manažerů v sociálních službách získané modifikovanou metodou hodnocení kompetencí prostřednictvím expertní skupiny (panelem expertů). Výsledky vedly k identifikaci potřebných kompetencí a těch, které experti vybrali jako více či méně naplněné v praxi a k jejich zobecnění do zobrazeného modelu kompetencí manažerů v sociálních službách. kompetencím označených experty za největší rozvojovou prioritu je dále věnována podkapitola o možnostech a metodách jejich rozvoje.

This chapter reports on the results of authors research into social services management competencies, which used a modified method of competency evaluation based on a panel of experts. The results helped the authors to identify necessary competencies and highlighted those competencies identified by the experts as more or less present in management practice, including the generalization of these competencies into an overall model of social services management competencies. A section of the chapter focuses on those competencies identified by experts as the highest development priority, outlining the possibilities and method for developing these competencies.
