Annotation in english language:
English borrowings in Czech language undergo specific orthoepical changes during the assimilation and adoption processes as Anglicisms, thus the study analyzed if these changes imbedded in Czech pronunciation might influence the pronunciation of English words in TEFL. The research was conducted in two classes of lower secondary school with the intention to find out whether the pronunciation of assimilated words in Czech influences the pronunciation of the original English words by Czech learners of English. The results showed that there is an enormous impact of the assimilated Anglicisms on the pronunciation of English.
