This contribution shows results of research which deals with contemporary standard of programming and algorithmization teaching at secondary schools. Authors try to find most frequent problems of this teaching and at the same time its subjects matter and methods in generally use and present some suggestions of possible solution. Nowadays this programming teaching is not very popular. At basic schools this subject is appeared only in some hobby clubs for a few interested persons. At secondary schools the situation is better. But teaching of informatics has been mixed up with ability of working with computer and software. Some grammar schools and technical colleges try to devote this programming teaching relatively a lot of time but not with the most modern methods and approaches.
