This paper is about the project for design effective usage of information and communication technologies for communication with children with autistic disorder. It focuses also to the Down?s syndrome, mental retardation and other growing defects, which cause handicapped children obstacles learning spoken natural language. The project bases on the knowledge of the communication system PECS (The Picture Exchange Communication System) and also the methodology named ?Exchange picture communication system? that is used on some Czech special schools. The normal exchange of pictures on cards seems to be less effective and often hard due to the specificity of the particular defect. Modern information and communication technologies should bring more effective communication, its simplification and general improvement.
