Prostřednictvím kvalitativního výzkumného přístupu byly vyhledány kognitivní mapy jednání seniorů ´strategie dobrého stáří´ a ´strategie stáří s problémy´. Mapy popisují jednání seniorů jako strukturované (a opakované). Prostřednictvím kvantitativního přístupu byla vyhledána hodnotová hierarchie a typologie seniorů podle hodnotových preferencí, odpovídající nalezeným faktorům. Integrovaný přístup umožnil ve specifických výzkumných interakčních situacích porovnat osobnostní potenciál seniorů seniory a tazateli-budoucími sociálními pracovníky.

The cognitive maps (´strategy of the good old-age´ and of ´the old-age with problems´) were found by means of the qualititative research approach. The maps describe seniors´behaviour as structured and repeated one. Through the quantitative methodology the value hierarchy and its typologies were identified. The integrative approach used in specific research situations enabled the comparison of seniors´personality potentials viewed by seniors themselves and by interviewers-future social workers.
