This paper focuses on an analysis of the possible moderating or mediating effect of selected personality variables connected with stress resistance (dispositional optimism, sense of coherence, hardiness) on the relations between subjectively perceived work-related stress in a professional group whose profession-related stress levels can be seen as similar (secondary school teachers, N = 125) and job satisfaction (as a possible indicator of the effect of adaptation on work). .
