This text is aimed at the Czech nicks, the nicknames used on the internet. The nicks are characterized by their onymical function, their intensive relations to the world of pop culture and their play on words too. Their hypocoristic forms, diminutive and augmentative ones, and use of vulgar words are the most distinctive formal marks of their expressivity. Describing their forms we can use a term formant for the especially English words used as the prefixes or suffixes and making new nicks, e.g. baby, big, black - babygirl, baby-kocicka, baby.antikristy, bigbastard, bigbossberry, black.horse, Blackhat.
