V církevní komunikaci je často využívána vertikální stylová diferenciace na styl vysoký, střední a nízký. Vysoký styl je typický pro jazyk liturgie a je také využíván v jazyce modlitby a homilie, ačkoliv se zde objevují i prvky stylu nízkého.

The religious communication introduces the texts that are linguistically and stylishly polymorphic. The detailed general typology of the mentioned text is still missing. The traditional division follows the genres as a group of texts with the similar characteristics. Among the genres of the religious communications belong the spiritual songs, prayers, biblical texts, dialogic polemic texts, ceremonious texts, theological debates, testimonial, the texts of the religious journalism etc.
