New technologies escalate quality of learning and teaching particularly in distance education. Didactic test is effective form in educational process. Production of tests must solve problems of content of test, definition of questions and answers, strenuousness and range of test etc. We must solve technical problems. When we make online test we must have some authoring tool for example The Lotus Workplace Collaborative Learning Authoring Tool. This application can serve for creating and update courses for Lotus Workplace users. This application is proper for preparation and implementation didactic tests. The paper is about possibilities and imperfections of this authoring tool.
