There are being analyzed the means of expressing indefinite amount of guide-book texts in the article. Its author focused on guide-book texts, which are a synthesis of several functional styles [scientific-popular, journalistic, and commercial]. This qualitative aspect of the style displays itself subsequently also in those specific forms of expressing indefinite amount. Also, there are given various classifications of the constructions which express indefinite amount. During the work with the language material the Russian-Czech comparative principle was applied. In the final part the author generalized the partial pieces of knowledge about the function and frequency of particular means of expressing indefinite quantity in guide-book texts of the two languages.
