Key words in English:
quantum computing, cryptographic algorithm, post-quantum cryptography, symmetric cryptography, asymmetric cryptography, hashing, key exchange
Annotation in original language:
The paper reviews the quantum computing advances and their impact on classical cryptography. the aspect of potential breaking of present (believably secure) cryptographic algorithms. Recent progress in the abilities of quantum computers as well as the standardization of new generation of cryptographic algorithms resistant to quantum-computing attacks is summarized. The classical cryptographic algorithms are reviewed and corresponding threats from quantum algorithms were summarized. In addition, existing symmetric and hash algorithms under quantum attacks is discussed and recommendations for improving security in long-term are formulated.
