Článek se zaměřuje na analýzu širšího kontextu projektů čistých průmyslových technologií a jejich dopadů v různých regionech Evropské unie. Čisté průmyslové technologie představují výrobní metody, technologie a procesy, které minimalizují negativní dopad průmyslové činnosti na životní prostředí. Zdůrazňují efektivní – nebo cirkulární – využívání surovin a energie, snižování emisí znečišťujících látek a odpadů a podporu udržitelného rozvoje. Autoři staví svou analýzu na předpokladu, že heterogenita EU, kterou ilustrují prostřednictvím vlastní regionální a kulturní klasifikace, vyžaduje, aby aplikace těchto technologií zohledňovala konkrétní a specifické podmínky probíhající difúze inovací. Empirickým základem studie jsou sekundární data získaná od Světové banky a Eurostatu. Metodologicky se článek opírá o logicko-historickou metodu, komparativní analýzu, syntézu, dedukci a induktivní přístup.

The article focuses on analyzing the broader context of clean industrial technology projects and their impacts across various regions of the European Union. Clean industrial technologies refer to production methods, technologies, and processes that minimize the negative environmental impact of industrial activity. They emphasize the efficient—or circular—use of raw materials and energy, the reduction of pollutant emissions and waste, and the promotion of sustainable development. The authors base their analysis on the premise that the heterogeneity of the EU, which they illustrate through their own regional and cultural classification, necessitates that the application of these technologies consider the specific and concrete conditions of ongoing innovation diffusion. The empirical foundation of the study consists of secondary data obtained from the World Bank and Eurostat. Methodologically, the paper draws on the logical-historical method, comparative analysis, synthesis, deduction, and an inductive approach.
