W artykule podkreślono podobieństwa i różnice w edukacji artystycznej w czeskim i słowackim systemie edukacji. Edukacja artystyczna jest częścią sztuki i kultury w kształceniu obowiązkowym w obu krajach. Po podziale Republiki Czeskiej i Słowackiej, edukacja artystyczna podążała prawie tą samą ścieżką z mniejszymi lub większymi różnicami. Systemy edukacji w obu krajach wpływają na siebie nie tylko w zakresie treści edukacji artystycznej, ale także w stopniowym zmniejszaniu przydziału godzin, zwłaszcza w szkolnictwie podstawowym. Jest to stopniowa redukcja, a być może nie eliminacja całej dziedziny sztuki i kultury jako takiej. Artykuł wskazuje na obecne zmiany, które wpływają na edukację artystyczną i jej przyszłą pozycję w edukacji.

The paper highlights the parallels and differences in art education in the Czech and Slovak education systems. In both countries, art education is part of the Art and Culture area of compulsory education. After the division Czech and Slovak Republics, art education has followed almost the same path, with minor or major differences. The education systems in both countries influence each other not only in the content of art education, but also in the gradual reduction of the hourly allocation in primary education. It is a gradual reduction and perhaps not the elimination of the whole field of Arts and Culture as well. The paper points out the current changes that affect art education and its future position in education.
