Medailon významného ostravského malíře a pedagoga. Nejprve působil jako vedoucí ateliéru malby na Katedře výtvarné tvorby Pedagogické fakulty OU, poté na někdejším Institutu pro umělecká studia (IPUS) OU. Po vzniku Fakulty umění OU se stal prvním vedoucím tamní katedry malby (do roku 2023). Jeho pedagogickým vedením prošla celá řada malířů a malířek, z nichž mnozí se velmi úspěšně etablovali na umělecké scéně.

Medallion of an important Ostrava painter and teacher. He first worked as the head of the painting studio at the Department of Art at the Faculty of Education of the OU, then at the former Institute for Art Studies (IPUS) of the OU. After the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts and Music of the OU, he became the first head of the Department of Painting there (until 2023). A number of painters passed under his pedagogical guidance, many of whom have successfully established themselves on the art scene.
