Annotation in english language:
Chapter examines the most popular theories of interpreting Vladimir Nabokov's novel “Invitation to a Beheading” with the aim of identifying the main existential questions raised in the novel. It discusses the interpretation of the novel through the philosophy of Gnosticism, as well as touches upon the theme of the novel's similarity to the works of Franz Kafka and the genre of anti-utopia.
