Valašsko patřilo v 19. století k nemnoha oblastem českých zemí, kde spolu žily dvě různé náboženské komunity – katolíci a evangelíci. Pokusili jsme se na podkladě historickodemografického výzkumu sledovat motivace smíšených sňatků, tzn. možný dopad duchovních (či duševních) rozporů při vytváření manželství mezi katolíky a evangelíky vzhledem k určitému konfliktnímu prostředí. Zkoumali jsme zastoupení smíšených sňatků v rámci všech uzavíraných sňatků, kombinace párů, typy sňatků, sňatkový věk a také intervaly prvních porodů od uzavření smíšených manželství. Výzkum byl proveden na vybraných lokalitách, v nichž se nacházel víceméně vyrovnaný stav obyvatel obou vyznání – Hodslavice, Mořkov, Vsetín, Liptál a Rokytnice.

In the 19th century, Wallachia was one of the few regions of the Czech lands where two different religious communities - Catholics and Evangelicals - lived together. We tried to track the motivations of mixed marriages on the basis of historical demographic research, i.e. the possible impact of spiritual (or mental) contradictions in creating a marriage between Catholics and Evangelicals due to a certain conflict environment. We examined the representation of mixed marriages within all marriages, combinations of couples, types of marriages, age at marriage and also intervals of first births since the couples got married. The research was carried out in selected locations where there was a more or less balanced population of both faiths - Hodslavice, Mořkov, Vsetín, Liptál and Rokytnice.
