Výstava Blato představuje nezaměnitelný hlas studentů a pedagogů ateliéru Malby 2 Fakulty umění Ostravské univerzity. Výstavní projekt tématizuje diskurz posthistorické doby, kde se umění stává jedinečnou událostí, prolínající se s mnoha významy a vyvolávající zlomy a zdvojené významy v našem vnímání. Podle filozofa Jacqua Derridy se pojem "struktura" již nedostatečně vyrovnává s komplexností současného umění. Místo toho Derrida navrhuje použít pojem "událost", který lépe reflektuje povahu uměleckých děl. Na výstavě Blato tedy nalezneme umělecká díla, která se stávají prostředky událostí, které se zhmotňují v jednotlivých uměleckých přístupech. V tomto kontextu je nezbytné zmínit metaforický význam termínu "zlom". Zlom je v tomto případě nejen fyzickým prolamováním povrchu, ale také narušením ustálených představ a očekávání. Na výstavě Blato se setkáváme s díly, která svou reprezentací vztahů vytvářejí nové smysly a odhalují skryté dimenze. Dalším klíčovým pojmem je "zdvojený význam". Umělecká díla na výstavě nejsou omezena na jedinou interpretaci. Naopak, mnohotvárnost děl a forem nám umožňuje vnímat zdánlivě protichůdné významy a jejich prolínání. Zdvojený význam nám otevírá prostor pro rozmanité pohledy a prozkoumávání kontrastů a paralel. Tato výstava také přináší nový přístup k uspořádání uměleckých děl. Využívá postupů nehierarchické struktury, kde se kurátor a umělec stávají splynutými entitami. Kurátor se stává tvůrcem události, která vytváří prostor pro díla umělců a současně se propojuje s jejich tvůrčím procesem. Tímto způsobem výstava Blato oživuje vztah mezi kurátorem a umělcem, kde se jejich role prolínají a stírají hranice. Vizuální uspořádání výstavy je nejednoznačné a vyplývá ze své vlastní nezáměrnosti významů. Díla jsou umístěna v prostoru bez hierarchie, kde jedno dílo neovládá ostatní. Tímto způsobem vytváří výstava prostor pro individuální vnímání a možnost propojení jednotlivých děl v neočekávaných a inspirativních způsobech. Výstava se otevírá novým perspektivám, které nám umožní prozkoumat hlubší smysl a sílu uměleckého vyjádření. František Kowolowski

The Blato exhibition represents the unmistakable voice of the students and teachers of the Malby 2 studio of the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava. The exhibition project thematizes the discourse of the post-historic era, where art becomes a unique event, intertwined with many meanings and causing breaks and double meanings in our perception. According to the philosopher Jacques Derrida, the term "structure" no longer adequately copes with the complexity of contemporary art. Instead, Derrida suggests using the term "event", which better reflects the nature of works of art. At the Blato exhibition we will therefore find works of art that become means of events that materialize in individual artistic approaches. In this context, it is necessary to mention the metaphorical meaning of the term "break". In this case, the break is not only a physical breaking of the surface, but also a disruption of established ideas and expectations. At the Blato exhibition, we encounter works that, through their representation of relationships, create new senses and reveal hidden dimensions. Another key concept is "double meaning". The artworks in the exhibition are not limited to a single interpretation. On the contrary, the multifaceted nature of works and forms allows us to perceive seemingly contradictory meanings and their interweaving. The double meaning opens up space for us to take multiple perspectives and explore contrasts and parallels. This exhibition also brings a new approach to the arrangement of artworks. It uses the procedures of a non-hierarchical structure, where the curator and the artist become fused entities. The curator becomes the creator of the event, which creates a space for the artists' works and at the same time connects with their creative process. In this way, the Blato exhibition revives the relationship between the curator and the artist, where their roles intersect and blur the boundaries. The visual arrangement of the exhibition is ambiguous and results from its own unintentionality of meanings. The works are placed in a space without hierarchy, where one work does not dominate the others. In this way, the exhibition creates space for individual perception and the possibility of connecting individual works in unexpected and inspiring ways. The exhibition opens up new perspectives that will allow us to explore the deeper meaning and power of artistic expression. Francis Kowolowski
