Key words in English:
inequality, social education, thematic analysis, interviews
Annotation in original language:
The aim of the paper is to understand the notion inequality in the context of social education and to identify ways of integrating and implementing the teaching of the topic in undergraduate social education courses in the Czech Republic. Based on a thematic analysis of interviews with eight guarantors of undergraduate courses, key themes and their interrelationships are presented. Inequalities turned out to be a key, cross-cutting but implicit theme for undergraduate social education courses. Despite the large number of methods and approaches used, the importance of integrated education, which does not separate theory from practice and reaches all aspects of the personality, is evident. The courses’ focus on personal preparation and the current, widely debated affairs are proving to be a strength.
