Frédéric Dard effectue les métaplasmes dans le cadre du rang des sons, mais aussi dans le cadre du rang des sémions. Dans son oeuvre on heurte avant tout les métaplasmes suivants : apocope, apherese, epenthese, prothese et le redoublement hypocoristique.
