The article maps the history and present of teacher education in drama education. The author describes the formal and informal education of drama teachers and leaders of children's theatre groups and youth theatre groups. The article is the result of an analysis of documents and contemporary documents. The article is part of a publication Drama Education in the Czech Republic that was produced on the basis of institutional support for the long-term conceptual development of a research organization provided by the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic.
