Lost in Time je výstavní projekt představující rakouskému publiku výběr umělců ostravské výtvarné scény a taktéž umělců s ostravským kulturním regionem úzce spolupracujících. Uměleckým hostem projektu je rakouská umělkyně českého původu Elena Steiner. Ostravská výtvarná scéna je modelovým příkladem zrodu nové kulturní identity vznikající na postindustriálním základu. Divák má příležitost posoudit, zda má tato estetika pouze regionální charakter, nebo se jedná o součást globálních estetických trendů. Autoři tohoto projektu jsou přesvědčení, že právě vývoj v evropských postindustriálních oblastech podporuje jejich názor klonící se ke globálním aspektům příznačným pro novou kulturní, respektive vizuální identitu ostravské výtvarné scény. Lost in Time is an exhibition project presenting to the Austrian audience a selection of artists from the Ostrava art scene and also artists closely cooperating with the Ostrava cultural region. The artistic guest of the project is the Austrian artist of Czech origin Elena Steiner. The Ostrava art scene is a model example of the birth of a new cultural identity emerging on a post-industrial basis. The viewer has the opportunity to assess whether this aesthetic has only a regional character, or whether it is part of global aesthetic trends. The authors of this project are convinced that the development in European post-industrial areas supports their opinion leaning towards global aspects characteristic of the new cultural and visual identity of the Ostrava art scene.
