Thischapterpresentstheresultsofempiricalresearchaimingtoclassifythestudentsoftheresearchgroupbytheirsubjectiveviewoftheirstudyambitionsandassumptionsandanalysetherelationshipbetweenthem.Teachers'andschools'incentivestoguidestudentstowardstechnologicalthinkinganddeepentheschool'sinterestinthefieldofstudywereexaminedaselementsofacademicsupport.Thestudents'viewsonbothofthesevariableswererelatedtotheperceptionoftheireducationalaspirations.Academicaspirationexpressestheanticipatedlevelofperformanceorpositionthestudentswishtoachieve.Studypredispositionsareasetofknowledge,competencies,cognitiveabilities,talents,studyambitionsandmotivations.Theresearchsampleconsistsof907technicalsecondaryschoolstudentsintheCzechRepublic.Descriptivedatashowed,thatmorethanhalfoftherespondentsbelievetheyhavesuitableprerequisitesforstudyingandaspiretothestatusofagoodstudent.Only3%lacktheseprerequisitesandhavenoambitiontobegoodstudents.Studentswithhigheraspirationsmorefrequentlybelievethattheyhavesufficientprerequisitesforstudyingandperceiveschoolsupporttodeepentheirinterestinthefield.However,educationalaspirationsareseparatefromstudents'opinionsabouttheteacher'seffortstodeveloptechnicalthinking.
