Intercultural Communication, pedagogical communication, teaching a language as a foreign language, multiculturalism

The aim of the study is to discuss, analyze and evaluate key barriers and benefits of intercultural communication and specific aspects of teaching Czech as a foreign language in the selected community of respondents. It is a qualitatively oriented research using the interview method with foreigners (participants of the course of teaching Czech using the communicative method implemented in 2022) at the Faculty of Education of the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic. The results of the research present benefits, strategies for effective pedagogical communication, the importance of preventing communication misunderstandings, factors affecting respect for regional culture, intercultural cooperation, respect and help.
