Kapitola se zabývá různorodým pojetím zdraví s důrazem na ekologicko-sociální model zdraví, determinantami zdraví a proměnou obsahu pojmu disabilita v kontextu novodobého funkčního modelu disability, představuje oblasti zdravotní gramotnosti v péči o zdraví a vybrané generické a specifické nástroje hodnocení úrovně zdraví.

The chapter deals with a diverse concept of health with an emphasis on the ecological-social model of health, determinants of health and the transformation of the content of the concept of disability in the context of the modern functional model of disability, presents the areas of health literacy in health care and selected generic and specific tools for assessing the level of health.
