Cel'yu doklada yavlyaetsya opredelenie osobennostej sovremennogo nauchnogo stilya, v chastnosti, sobstvenno-nauchnogo i nauchno-uchebnogo podstilej. Izmeneniya nauchnogo stilya vyzvany internacionalizaciej nauki i differenciaciej podstilej nauchnogo stilya v oboih sravnivaemyh yazykah. Dayotsya harakteristika vysheukazannyh podstilej, i analiziruyutsya ih rechevye i yazykovye osobennosti v oblasti estestvennyh nauk. V doklade takzhe rassmatrivaetsya odna iz ukazannyh nauk, nauka o vymershih organizmah, t. e. paleontologiya, na materiale kotoroj provoditsya issledovanie.

This paper deals with features and characteristics of the scientific writing style used in Russian and Czech languages. Grammatical features used to express the impersonality are analysed in detail as this is the characteristic richly represented in the material. The impersonality is expressed by grammatical structures of passive constructions, finite subjectless clauses and clauses with general subjects. Alterations to contemporary scientific writing style have been caused by internationalisation. The paper also introduces paleontology as articles from this branch are used for the research.
