Die Studie befasst sich mit der Problematik der 1921 gegründeten Geschichtskommission aus polnisch-tschechischer historischer Sicht. Die 1921 gegründete Historische Kommission für Schlesien, der von Beginn an neben Historikern und Archivaren auch Kunsthistoriker und Denkmalpfleger, Kartographen, Musikwissenschaftler und Theologen angehörten, ist bis heute eine der wichtigsten Vereinigungen zur Erforschung der Kultur und Geschichte des Oderlandes.
