Autor v tomto textu představuje některé jazykové a mimojazykové aspekty procesu překladu, který je procesem dvojjazyčné komunikace. Teoretické pozadí problematiky je tvořeno interdisciplinárním přístupem k otázkám jazykových kontaktů a překladu. Autor se zabývá homonymií a teorií tzv. jazykové interference v lexiku dvou typologicky blízkých jazyků (polštiny a češtiny). Vymezuje pojmy homonymie a jazyková interference, specifikuje několik základních pojmů, které se týkají homonymie a jazykové interference. Na základě příkladů z překladatelské praxe článek nabízí klasifikaci několika základních typů lexikálního transferu.

The intention of this article is to present some of the linguistic and extra-linguistic aspects of the translation process, which is a process of bilingual communication. The theoretical background of the issue is formed by an interdisciplinary approach to the questions of language contacts and translation. The article deals with the homonyms and theory of language interference in the lexis of two typologically similar languages (Polish and Czech). It defines the terms of homonyms and language interference, specifies several types of interference, and describes some aspects of typology of homonyms in the contact of Polish and Czech. Based on examples from translation practice, the article offers a classification of several basic types of lexical transfer.
