Studie se věnuje fortifikaci poddanského města na příkladu hukvaldského panství. Soustředí se především na vztah obyvatel tohoto města k hradbám a na roli, jakou tyto hradby hrají ve vnímáni prostoru a vymezení místní komunity.

This capter is focused on the fortifications of the vassal towns of the Hukvaldy estate. It focuses not so much on the building history of the town’s fortifications but rather on the relationship of the inhabitants of the vassal towns to their walls. What role did they play in the perception of the urban community of itself and outwardly, how did they help in defining the relationship to the surroundings (during disputes, etc.).
