Článek kriticky zhodnotí dvě teorie personality. První bude představena antropocentrická etická teorie nazvaná ontologický personalismus, podle které je každý lidský jedinec automaticky osobou a každý lidský život je posvátný. Druhou teorií bude empirický funkcionalismus, podle kterého jsou jedinci osobami díky tomu, že disponují určitými funkcionálními vlastnostmi. Bude poukázáno na nedostatky a problémy obou teorií a jako východisko bude představena teorie nazvaná evolučně-konzervativní pojem osoby. Tato teorie bude vycházet z konzervativní metody především z konzervativní kritiky lidských práv. Díky skloubení chápaní a zdůvodnění tradice a zvyků u konzervatismu s chápáním morálky v evoluční teorii bude pojem osoby představen jakožto tzv. „cluster concept“.

The article critically evaluates two theories of personality. The first will introduce an anthropocentric ethical theory called ontological personalism, according to which every human individual is automatically a person and every human life is sacred. The second theory will be empirical functionalism, according to which individuals are persons due to the fact that they have certain functional properties. The problems of both theories will be pointed out and as the basis of the presented theory called evolutionary-conservative concept of the person. This theory will be based on the conservative method, especially on the conservative critique of human rights. Combining the understanding and justification of traditions and customs in conservatism with the understanding of morality in evolutionary theory, the concept of a person will be introduced as a so-called "cluster concept".
