This paper mainly investigates transformation processes concerning the action of tempering of some tar products, and that for several reasons: For the first it considers interaction processes leading to production of substances of higher value that would be a good thing as regards the entire range of coal tar products. Another important aspect is represented by the fact that coal tar - as an aromatic substance containing not only hydrocarbons but also a substantial amount of oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur compounds - is very often exposed to heat and atmospheric oxygen that starts (especially by an co-action of the two)a polycondensation reaction of the individual constituents...
